Compact chainsaw with excellent power-to-weight ratio. With up to 20% less fuel consumption and up to 70% fewer emissions compared to STIHL two-stroke engines of the same performance class without 2-MIX technology. Ideal for cutting firewood, felling small trees and when a bit more power is needed. Also includes all additional ""Comfort"" features like our Chain Quick Tensioning (B) and ErgoStart (E) system, for lower fuel consumption, fast and easy chain adjustment, and easier starting.

Instruction is necessary to recognize or assess the dangers of a chainsaw. Please wear protective clothing and equipment.

  • Anti-vibration system
    STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM
    Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
  • Quick chain adjuster (B)
    STIHL QUICK CHAIN TENSIONING
    RE-TENSION THE SAW CHAIN TOOL-FREE. Thanks to STIHL Quick Chain Tensioning, you can tension your saw chain quickly and without tools, thanks to the adjusting wheel. Turning the adjusting wheel to the left releases tension on the saw chain, and turning the adjustment wheel to the right tensions the saw chain. The guide bar will be automatically secured when you tighten the sprocket cover.
  • Compensator
    COMPENSATOR
    REDUCED MAINTENANCE. The compensator is a control system in the carburettor, which uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance, exhaust gas quality and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time, despite increasing contamination of the air filter. You do not need to clean the air filter until there is a noticeable drop in performance. This means that you can work for a long time without maintenance.

    A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required from a cold start.
  • STIHL 2 MIX engine
    STIHL 2-MIX Engine
    The STIHL 2-MIX engine is both powerful and economical. Separating the exhaust emissions from the unburnt gas minimises scavenging losses, and therefore increases the power output while reducing consumption.<br /><br />The two-stroke engine with STIHL 2-MIX technology saves up to 20% of fuel and reduces emissions by up to 70% compared to STIHL 2-stroke engines of the same performance class without 2-MIX technology.

    EFFORTLESS STARTING. STIHL Easy2start saves you energy when starting your power tools. A smooth and even pull on the starter cord is all that’s needed. The required speed on the starter cord is significantly reduced, and the engine starts quickly and reliably even with a slow pull. An additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter cord roll makes this easier.
  • TOOL-FREE FUEL CAP FOR OIL AND FUEL TANKS
    QUICK AND EASY TO USE. With tool-free fuel cap, you can open and close oil and fuel tanks in just a few simple steps, thanks to a bayonet closure.

    HD2-FILTER
    INCREASES SERVICE LIFE. The HD2 filter protects your power tool’s engine against even the finest dust, ensuring a longer service life and reduced wear. The filter made from PET material has up to 70% finer pores than fleece and polyamide filters, and is also oil- and water-repellent. This also makes it easier to clean the filter. When needed, the filter cartridge can be easily replaced without tools.

    LONG-LIFE AIR FILTER SYSTEM FOR CHAINSAWS
    EXTENDED FILTER SERVICE LIFE. Pre-separation routing removes coarse, larger particles from the airstream before they can reach the actual filter. The HD2 filter keeps even fine dust away from the engine, ensuring a long engine service life, long cleaning intervals and easy maintenance of your chainsaw. When we refer to a long-life air filter system in chainsaws, this exclusively describes models that have pre-separation routing and an HD2 filter.
